Forest Stewardship Council

CPAWS endorses the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC is the only forest certification system tackling the ever-expanding footprint of forestry in Canada and around the world by including the protection of Intact Forest Landscapes and Intact Cultural Landscapes as criteria required for certification. CPAWS supports the FSC because its standards work to protect forest ecosystems, water quality, wildlife habitats, and local communities.
