Bois-des-Filion, June 10, 2021 – The Canadian brand Life Sports Gear has launched its new hiking backpack collection, the Discovery Series, in partnership with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS).
Life Sports Gear is committed to being respectful of the environment. That is why the partnership with CPAWS came to life when creating the Discovery Series. Every purchase registered on the Life Sports Gear’s website will result in a donation to CPAWS, whether the bag was purchased directly from their online store or from a retailer. The donation will go towards the conservation and protection of species, habitats and ecosystems.

Six bag designs have been launched this spring, one for every type of hike. The volume varies according to the models; the most compact has a capacity of 18L and the largest, 45L. The conception of every product required long hours of reflection in order to represent the brand’s mission: offering quality products at affordable prices. Every element was carefully studied, from the width of the side pockets to the fabrics used. The textiles, 600D and 210D polyester, are durable and tear resistant. The polyurethane (PU) coating adds essential water resistance to the hiking bags.
The Discovery Series is inspired by some of the most renowned Canadian national parks, hence the name of each collection: Forillon, Yoho and Grasslands. “We were looking for a unique concept that would differentiate us from our competitors. We wondered what customers would do with the hiking bags. In the current situation, we can’t travel very far. That is why we wanted people to DISCOVER our country’s national parks through our products”, explains one of the brand founders, Alain Sisler.
The Life Sports Gear hiking backpacks are already in stores. Models will vary by store, but they will be available in every Sports Experts and Atmosphere in Quebec, as well as in some independent sports stores.
