Nature across Canada is at risk

Nature across Canada is at risk, and we need your help.

The federal government has released its first Nation Building Projects list. The Prime Minister doesn’t seem to be talking about nature, and we continue to be concerned that as development happens, industries will bypass regulations that protect it. This could threaten wildlife and their habitat, destroy important ecosystems, and silence nature’s voice.

We need you today to contact Prime Minister Mark Carney and your local Member of Parliament to let them know that you want to see nature protection treated as a Nation-Building Project.

Our Members of Parliament do respond when constituents write or call personally. I don’t know if you are aware, but Sandra, our National Executive Director, used to work on Parliament Hill, and she has repeatedly seen MPs alert the Prime Minister and say, “I’ve gotten lots of calls about this.” It puts pressure on Cabinet and can make a difference!

We encourage you to tell your MP that:

Ask for concrete responses from the Prime Minister on these concerns.

Calling, emailing, or writing to Mark Carney or your Member of Parliament is easy. Here is their contact info:

Your email doesn’t need to be perfect. Just write from the heart.
