In 2019, the Junior School students at The Country Day School in King chose to support the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society because of our love for nature and animals. The Country Day School is situated on 100 acres of land where students are encouraged to appreciate nature and become stewards of the environment in our Back 40. With the help of our Outdoor Education teacher, Stephanie Collins, and Grade 6 community service group, Pathways to People, we heard about CPAWS — a charity that closely aligned with one of our school goals. During January and February, Junior School students are asked to bring in a toonie for the privilege of wearing non-uniform clothes. We feel proud that we have been able to raise $6,000 for CPAWS over the years!
