Results in: NWT Territorial Election Survey

CPAWS-NWT conducted a survey of MLA candidates in the October 1 territorial election to determine their positions on important environmental issues. We asked questions regarding protected areas, land use planning, caribou habitat, conservation-based economic development, and climate change.

There was overwhelming support for these issues; if elected, a majority of respondents for Yellowknife ridings committed to implementing measures to address all of them.

Please see the attached summary charts for each riding for detailed questions and responses.
