CPAWS submits recommendations to Minister’s Round Table on Parks Canada

From January 9 to 27, Canadians coast to coast to coast were invited to speak up on the future of our national parks by participating in the Minister’s Round Table on Parks Canada. Many thousands of Canadians shared their views, and overwhelmingly expressed a desire to see the Agency re-focus on protecting nature as the first priority for park management. There was also strong support expressed for creating more national parks and marine conservation areas. By law, the Minister must respond to written recommendations to the Round Table process within 180 days.  Stay tuned for news on her response.
