One of Canada’s most decorated Olympians, Clara Hughes, is coming to Lutsel K’e and Yellowknife for a week of activities in support of the Lutsel K’e Dene First Nation’s efforts to establish a new protected area in partnership with Parks Canada at the East Arm of Great Slave Lake, called Thaidene Nene (meaning “Land of the Ancestors”).
