December 11 - Cafe Scientifique -  Canada’s commitment to protecting 17% of land by 2020.

Our Cafe Scientifique is an informal gathering of people to discuss current science, conservation and environmental issues that affect our communities. On the second Monday of each month, we will discuss a different topic related to biology, conservation, wilderness and our place in the environment.

This Monday, December 11, 2017, Nik Lopoukhine will be discussing the federal government's committment to protecting 17% of Canada's land by 2020. Nik has extensive experience working to protect Canada's wilderness and has recieved numerous national and international awards for his professional and volunteer work.
