Vancouver Mountain Film Fest and Big Wild launch a huge success

June 2, 2008 CPAWS VIMFF 11.jpg

A BIG thank you to all of our event volunteers, sponsors, and door prize donors for making our Big Wild launch and the premier screening of the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival in Yellowknife a great success.

While the primary focus of the evening was to build awareness about the national Big Wild campaign, it was also an opportunity to encourage Yellowknifers to get out and enjoy our own big wild backyard, and also for CPAWS-NWT to raise funds for our conservation work.

With 221 people in the audience, we did all of those things, and we hope to see a number of Yellowknifers sign themselves up for a Big Wild Challenge this summer as a result!
