We’re turning 50!

For 50 years, CPAWS has been Canada’s leading national voice for parks and wilderness. We’ve created a special new website to commemorate all of the conservation successes that you and so many others have helped us to achieve in the past half century – all in all, it amounts to over 50 million hectares of Canada’s treasured wilderness protected! Check out our success timeline here.

Have a special memory of CPAWS that you’d like to share?

We’ve created a page on our 50th Anniversary website where you can share your stories and photos that capture your memories of CPAWS over the years. There are already some wonderful stories and photos that will inspire and make you smile. Enjoy, and upload your story to the CPAWS Family Album today!

There’s more…

We’re launching a special “Week for the Wild” from October 21 – 26th. You’ll be hearing more from us in the coming days about how you can participate, wherever you happen to be!  And if it turns out you’ll be in Ottawa that week…

Join us to take a Walk on the Wild Side

On October 25th, we’re partnering with the Canadian Museum of Nature for an exciting Nature Nocturne event, and we want you to join us! This is a unique opportunity to celebrate nature and Halloween in style, to hear musical performances by Plants and Animals and the Hilotrons, and to take part in special CPAWS 50th anniversary celebrations. Tickets are $20, and can be purchased through the Museum’s website.

Together, let’s celebrate 50 years of caring for Canada’s amazing natural treasures!
