The Canadian Boreal Initiative has partnered with CPAWS on establishing protected areas in Canada’s Boreal Forest and improving conservation practices outside of protected areas to enhance connectivity and reduce the vulnerability of protected areas networks. cbi_small.jpg
The EJLB Foundation is supporting CPAWS’ work in many parts of Canada to gain new protected areas. They have most recently contributed to our Eastern Woodlands program including the protection of regions such as the Isthmus of Chignecto, the Restigouche Watershed, Gaspésie National Park and Fisher Bay. ejlb.jpg
The Trillium Foundation is supporting CPAWS’ involvement with Mountain Equipment Co-op in developing an online community to support wilderness conservation called The Big Wild. This initiative aims to create broad-based public understanding of the value of wilderness protection. trillium.png
The Ivey Foundation is supporting CPAWS’ mission to protect at least 50% of the Boreal Forest. Under their Conserving Canada’s Forest Program, Ivey Foundation has contributed most recently towards building Boreal Conservation Momentum and to promoting the protection of Boreal Woodland Caribou under the federal Species at Risk Act. The Wilburforce Foundation has supported CPAWS in many of our Western Canada conservation campaigns. Some of the most recent projects that have been supported by Wilburforce are The Flathead campaign in British Columbia and the Castle Crown in Alberta. wilburforce.gif
